KILIMANJARO MEGA EXPEDITIONS operates all tours and adventures under the brand name Key2Tanzania. The company is legally registered and incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania as KME TANZANIA LIMITED.

1. When Do These Terms and Conditions Apply?

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between the Client and KME TANZANIA LIMITED and apply when:

3. Treatment of Personal Information

We collect limited personal information necessary to arrange your expedition, such as name, nationality, age, dietary and medical details. Some of this information may be shared with park authorities or accommodation providers strictly for permit and booking purposes.

5. Booking & Payment Process

The booking process begins once you contact us via email or phone. A personal consultant will manage all communications and planning. Your booking is confirmed once a deposit payment is received in our account.

Minors: Must be accompanied by adults, and bookings can only be made by a parent, guardian, or authorized custodian.

6. Prices

Once a booking is confirmed, prices remain fixed unless Tanzania’s government increases park fees or taxes. In such cases, you may either cancel (with refund) or accept the price adjustment.

7. Changes to Itinerary

Clients may request changes free of charge if no extra costs arise. If unavoidable factors like weather, strikes, or third-party issues occur, KME reserves the right to modify itineraries to ensure safety and continuity.

8. Changes to Travel Dates

Travel date changes must be requested at least 60 days before your original tour date and within one year of booking. Extra costs may apply based on hotel or airline policies.

10. Travel Documents & Visas

All clients must ensure valid passports (minimum 6-month validity), visas, and required vaccinations. Visa information shared on our website is advisory; always confirm with Tanzanian embassies for latest requirements.

11. Accommodations

Accommodation is provided on a shared twin or double basis unless a single supplement is requested. For Kilimanjaro climbs, tent accommodation is shared between same-gender participants.

12. Fitness & Medical Information

Clients must ensure they are physically fit for adventure travel. KME reserves the right to decline participation for medical or safety reasons. Medical data shared with us is treated confidentially.

13. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. For Kilimanjaro climbs, coverage must include high-altitude trekking and helicopter evacuation. Insurance is not included unless specified.

14. Vaccinations

Clients should seek medical advice from licensed physicians for required vaccinations prior to travel to Tanzania.

15. Authority of Our Guides

Clients must follow guide instructions at all times. Decisions made by the lead guide regarding safety, route changes, or participant conduct are final.

16. Acceptance of Risk

Adventure travel in Tanzania involves inherent risks, including remote areas and unpredictable wildlife. Clients acknowledge and accept all such risks and release the Company from related liabilities.

17. Liabilities of Third Parties

Hotels, lodges, and airlines operate under their own conditions. KME assumes no responsibility for third-party acts, delays, or failures beyond our control.

18. Equipment and Gear for Kilimanjaro

Clients must bring personal gear for climbs. Equipment rentals are available from our inventory at extra cost. All group gear is new and replaced every six months.

19. Luggage & Valuables

We are not responsible for loss or delay of luggage by airlines or other carriers. However, essential climbing gear will be provided free of charge if airline delays occur.

20. Image & Marketing

By participating in our tours, you grant permission for use of photos and videos featuring you for marketing and promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.

21. Force Majeure

KME shall not be held liable for losses due to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, strikes, government actions, or any events beyond reasonable control.

22. Governing Law

All agreements and disputes shall be governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
